How the calculator works
The calculator follows your funnel from spend to revenue. Your budget divided by cost per click gives the number of clicks. Your landing page conversion rate turns clicks into leads, and your close rate turns leads into customers. Multiplying customers by their average value gives revenue, and dividing revenue by spend gives your return on ad spend (ROAS).
A ROAS above 1.0x means you're generating more revenue than you spend on ads, before other costs. Most businesses target a ROAS well above break-even to cover product, fulfilment, and operating costs. Small improvements to your conversion rate or close rate can shift profitability significantly — which is why we optimise the whole funnel, not just the ads.
